Thank you for choosing MarTex products. MarTex Industries uses only the highest quality ingredients to manufacture its products.
At Lave-uni Montréal, we are proud to apply coatings that undergo rigorous quality control to ensure you receive a reliable, impeccably beautiful, and low-maintenance product. To maintain your new surface, minimal attention from time to time is all that's needed to preserve its aesthetic appearance for years to come. Here is some useful information.
After the Installation Period
Avoid watering the new surface after a fresh application to allow the product to cure. MarTex™ requires a curing time of approximately 20 days; avoid placing or dragging heavy objects on the new surface during this period. After this period, if you wish to place heavy items like flower pots, be sure to place supports underneath them so that air can circulate and allow the surface to breathe.
You can walk lightly on the surface 24 hours after application, but patience is always the best way to ensure an impeccable look and durability for years to come.

How to clean the surfaces?
The surfaces can be cleaned with water only, with a water and vinegar solution, or with a mild detergent/soap and a brush. For more stubborn stains, use a pressure washer. It is possible to protect the surface with the application of a sealant, but this will need to be reapplied every two years.
How to remove snow in the winter?
Using a plastic shovel or a broom is preferable.
Is the product resistant to de-icing salt?
The excessive use of salt in the winter could whiten your surface and eventually damage it. Using sand or small aggregates is recommended as it is just as effective and less harmful to the environment. You can use blue de-icing salt (such as Alaskan Ice Melter) in moderation. Perform a thorough cleaning in the early spring to remove all residue.
Rugs or Mats?
Avoid placing a rubber-backed mat or carpet on the surface to prevent water from stagnating without the possibility of evaporating.
Using a straw mat is preferable to allow the surface to breathe.
Pets?
Due to its acidity, animal urine can affect the product's adhesion and coloration. It is not recommended to let animals urinate on your Martex-coated surface.

Rust?
Avoid placing tables, chairs, flower pots, or any other objects that can rust on the surface, as the rust could affect and stain it. If your surface inadvertently develops rust, contact our customer service for information.
Stains and Efflorescence?
Wait for freshly poured concrete to complete its curing period before applying MarTex. Some cement surfaces may show efflorescence; this is caused by excess salt in the cement rising to the surface when the surface is overly damp or soaked.
