Thank you for choosing MarTex products. MarTex Industries uses only the highest quality ingredients to manufacture its products.
At Lave-Uni Montreal, we pride ourselves on producing coatings whose quality is rigorously controlled to ensure you receive a reliable, impeccably beautiful product that requires minimal maintenance. Maintaining your new surface requires only occasional attention to preserve its aesthetic appeal for years to come. Here is some information that will be helpful.
After the installation period
Avoid watering the new surface after fresh application, to allow the product to cure.
Mar Tex™ requires a curing time of approximately 20 days; avoid placing or dragging heavy objects on the new surface during this period. After this time, if you wish to place items such as heavy flowerpots, be sure to place supports underneath to allow air to circulate and let the surface breathe.

You can move lightly over the surface 24 hours after application, but patience always proves to be the best way to ensure flawless beauty and durability for years to come.
• How to clean surfaces
The surfaces can be cleaned with water only, or with a vinegar solution, or with a mild detergent/soap and a brush. For more stubborn stains, use a pressure washer. It is possible to protect the surface by applying a protective coating, but this will need to be reapplied every two years.
• How to remove snow in winter?
Using a plastic shovel or a broom is preferable.
• Is the product resistant to de-icing salt?
Excessive salt application in winter can whiten your surface and potentially damage it. Using sand or small granules is recommended as it is just as effective and less harmful to the environment. You can use blue de-icing salt (Alaskan ice melter) sparingly. A thorough cleaning at the beginning of spring is essential to remove all residue.
Carpet?
Avoid placing a rug or rubber mat on the surface, to prevent water from stagnating without the possibility of evaporation.
Using a straw mat is preferable in order to allow the surface to breathe.
Animals?
Animal urine can affect the adhesion and discoloration of the product due to its acidity. It is not recommended to allow animals to urinate on surfaces coated with Martex.

• Rust?
Avoid placing tables, chairs, flower pots, or any other objects that could rust, as rust could affect and stain your surface. If your surface accidentally develops rust, contact our customer service department for information.
Spots and efflorescence?
Wait for the curing period of freshly poured concrete before applying MarTex. Some cement surfaces may show efflorescence, which is caused by excess salt present in the cement, which rises to the surface when the surface is too wet and soaked.
